Swallowed Whole but still kicking...

I am nearing the end of my month-long TEFL intensive course at Hamline.  Also rearing its pretty head is my not-so-distant departure for Laos.  I haven't had time lately to think or plan or do anything regarding this imminent thing but it's there.  I'll be jumping back on the blog-bandwagon this next school year as I once again fumble my way through a different culture, this time with the added challenge of being a full-time fourth grade teacher.  I've learned so much in the last 4 weeks about teaching and I get the feeling that my next year of work will include a very steep learning curve. 

Anyway, back to writing papers and lesson planning.
